Caroline Triscik, MA, LPC, NCC
My therapeutic approach begins with a belief that growth and healing are possible in connection with others. I aim to create a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, practicing from a client-centered and trauma-informed integrative approach, utilizing methods from Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I primarily work with adults, from young adults to older adults, and my past experience includes private practice, a university counseling center, and outpatient addiction treatment. I specialize in working with clients with mental health concerns related to stress and anxiety, trauma, depression, childhood abuse, anger, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, sexual assault, religious trauma, OCD, and addiction.
Prior to my career as a therapist, I spent nearly 20 years working with young adults at colleges and universities, specifically in multi-cultural settings. I strive to understand each client's unique cultural background and family system and how that may be relevant to their mental health treatment. Additionally, spirituality or faith, according to the client's worldview, can also be integrated into the counseling process if that is something that would be meaningful and beneficial.
Educational information:

Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah College
Originally from the Midwest, I have made my home in Central Pennsylvania for the past 17 years. When I am away from work, I delight in spending my time with my husband and teenage children, listening to and playing music, writing, and attempting to garden.
I am currently in network with many Highmark Blue Shield plans. Please note that health insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company. It is the client's responsibility to be aware of annual visit limits, deductible amounts, percentage of charges your insurance will pay, and non-covered services.
Clients can also pay from or seek reimbursement from a health savings account (HSA) or be provided with a Superbill to seek reimbursement as an out of network provider for other insurance plans. Please reach out with any other questions regarding fees.
